Learning Outcomes

  1. Students taking this course will learn how to read/understand the history of region and critically asses the impact it has on the development of a society
  2. Students will become aware of the Western bias of historical and political trajectories in order to analyze the colonial/post colonial violence inflicted on different people
  3. Students will learn to analyze a specific conflict through the lens of political anthropology
  4. Student will learn assemble material in the form of a portfolio in order to understand a conflict or issue in depth
