Notes

We begin by exploring the linkages between two highly interdependent concepts: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Socially Responsible Investment (SRI). Following an in-depth analysis of corporate ESG ratings and impact measurement, students will create their own Sustainable Investment Portfolios, including risk/return analysis. Students will also discover the evolution, achievements and critiques of the micro-finance and impact investing sectors. In addition, we will propose measures to promote expansion of the industry (i.e. government policies, modification of investment funds’ fiduciary duty, more appropriate impact measurement of firms’ activities). This course will run from January 20th through March 17th.
